Mr Ernest Hall – Coast Mountain News – Bella Coola
Hi Mr. Hall,
You ask, “What is the most important issue in this election for voters in the Skeena/Bulkley Valley?”
What’s at stake in this election is the very direction and future of Canada: whether our children and grandchildren live free and prosperous under “God and the rule of law”, or live and die under secular humanist tyranny!
Sadly, few Canadians, including Christians, recognize how vitally important it is to respect and defend the preamble of The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which unequivocally states:
Whereas, Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law. (my emphasis added)
The above clear statement of historical fact is the very foundation upon which our constitutional liberties rest. In other words, if those words have no authority in informing and determining any case before the courts, as most Canadian judges and lawyers seem to believe and some openly say they believe, then the rest of the Charter means nothing more than what those few carefully appointed politically correct lawyers want it to say. They twist and torture long-accepted English Common Law logic into the politically correct outcome they want, even if it has nothing to do with what the law actually says and the legislators meant it to say.
In short, without respect for God, the “rule of law” is rendered meaningless, because we are then in reality ruled by mere corruptible men, who, if they play such games with the Constitution, are by definition “lawless”.
They are indeed lawless, because they recognize no authority above themselves. In essence, they are exceeding their constitutional authority by invading God’s jurisdiction, usurping His universal law-making authority, and redefining what He alone can define regarding when life begins, and the nature of marriage and family.
Canadian judges have arrogantly set themselves up as a collective false god; exalting themselves above God, the rule of law, and “we the people”, with the complicity of most of our irresponsible Members of Parliament.
What we are left with is an oligarchy of authority-usurping tyrants that has the blood of 4 million innocent Canadian babies on their hands. And they have no qualms about repeatedly jailing pro-life advocates like Linda Gibbons for exercising their God-given Charter rights! They unjustly and abusively invoke section 1 of the Charter to nullify our supposedly “guaranteed” section 2 rights—and they defend doing so by denying us the fundamental right to be heard by a jury!
We should not forget the warning of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania:
“If we will not be governed by God, we must be ruled by tyrants.”
I believe that God is grieved with Canada, especially with our government; that’s what makes this election so crucial and pivotal; because it will determine the direction and future of our beloved nation. It will decide whether we continue to live under God’s blessing and protection, or suffer His wrath.
All the other candidates and parties have issues they want to talk about… but there are moral and social issues they want to completely avoid. So they also try to control the debate, so they can avoid issues that are impossible to defend morally, scientifically or logically.
They say abortion and same-sex marriage are settled law, and therefore we “extremists” should just fold our tents and go away, so they can focus on “important issues” like jobs and the economy, the environment, or national security.
But we in the CHP know that ultimately, our national security is not primarily dependant on politics or foreign policy, but upon a just, yet merciful God! Canada needs God far more than God needs Canada.
So, as a nation, we had better quit electing governments that keep telling God to “Get lost with your morals” if we want to avoid severe consequences. (Psalms 2)
We, the CHP are the true conservatives; the real law and order party, seeking to obey The Creator of all things: the Supreme Ruler and Judge of all there is in the universe. There is no “rule of law” without Him!
Canada’s Christian Heritage, threatened by a lawless “multiculturalism” must be preserved if the nation is to survive as a free and just society; and that’s what the CHP is all about in this election.
I confess, that I know little about the Bella Coola/Central coast region or your specific challenges, because I have never had the privilege of visiting your region and getting to know your community. So there is no point in making specific promises I may or may not be able to keep.
However, what I can say is that should I be elected, I will make a trip to Bella Coola and area to sit down and discuss your concerns and honestly try and address issues in an honest and principled matter before parliament.
It certainly makes sense to me that you need the restoration of a ferry or some marine link to your community.
I have no plans to visit Bella Coola right now, but will be attending two all candidates meetings on Haida Gwaii and one in Prince Rupert. I would certainly like to visit your area soon, whether as your representative in parliament or as a tourist. It would seem to me that fishing and adventure tourism would hold real promise for your economy into the future and should be enhanced.
Voters in your region should vote for me because I am not a man of empty words. I say what I mean and mean what I say and do what I can with the resources at my disposal. I could make lots of empty promises, but as they say, “words are cheap!”
Vote Don Spratt and the CHP!
